Marie Osborne

-.

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!  I am beginning a new position this year as I move to speech, theater arts and debate.  I will also be the GT teacher for 7th and 8th graders.

This is my 26th year as a teacher and my 10th at MM.  Working in this community has proven to be some of the most rewarding time of my career as a teacher. I love this school and community. I am passionate about helping my students in all aspects of life. I enjoy seeing my students grow.

I am a graduate of Mabank High School, Tyler Junior College, and The University of Texas at Tyler.  I hold teaching certifications in Secondary English, ESL, Speech Communications, and Elementary Education.

I enjoy being "domestic."  I love cooking, baking, decorating, and flower gardening. My family and I live in a hundred-year-old house that we have been working on for a while.  I call my style "Grandma's House" even though I am not a Grandma yet.  We have a bratty cat, an energetic kitten, and two sweet dogs. That little white dog, Lizzie, likes to roam so I have to keep a MISSING sign for when she wanders off.

Meet the Osborne Family:
We are a close family and enjoy spending time together at worship, camping, and just enjoying laughing at home.  Robert and I have been married for nearly 31 years.  He is a ranch manager for 5T Land and Cattle in Mabank and works with Angus cattle.

Chloe is a graduate of the Art Institute of Dallas with a degree in Culinary Arts - Baking and Pastry.  She is currently a nanny and does her baking on the side.

Autumn is a graduate of UT Tyler and will be teaching Spanish here this year.  She is now Mrs. McElyea and will be taking my former position in the English department.

Both my daughters are Lularoe clothing consultants also.

Our son Chandler is a graduate of Tyler Junior College in Automotive Technology.  He has worked as an auto tech and recently started working in the DFW area in decorative concrete.

I am very close to my extended family - my parents, my brothers, and their families.  This is a picture of my parents and my little great neice.
