Parent/Guardians, 
We would like to make you aware of a new law that goes in to effect this school year. With the growing issue of vapes in schools the legislature Has passed HB114. HB114 makes it a DAEP (Disciplinary Alternative Education Placement) offense for being in possession and/or use of a vape or e-cigarette on campus or at a school related function. This is a new law that the district wanted you as parents to be aware of. It takes the discipline decision out of the districts hands as it is a mandatory placement.
