Volunteering

Volunteers are not allowed at this time due to Covid-19.

We have many opportunities available for parents, grandparents and community members to volunteer in our school. All volunteers must have a background and fingerprint check. Safety is always our number one priority.

* Lunch Buddies- a mentoring program for students in kindergarten -sixth grade. As a volunteer you will commit to eating lunch one day a week with a student. Once you have been paired with a lunch buddy, you will have the same lunch buddy for the remainder of the year.

*Classroom Volunteer-many of our teachers utilize volunteers in their classrooms to help students practice reading, math facts, take AR test, practice handwriting and much more.

Other ways to help our school

Socktober- For the month of October we are hoping to collect 3,000 pairs of new socks for the Hi-Way 80 mission in Tyler.

November- We host a food drive for Manna in Canton.

Backpack Buddies- Is a program where we send bags of food home on Fridays for students in need. Many families and local churches have donated food to this worthy cause. Email thilton@martinsmillisd.net if interested if helping or your family would be benefited by this program.

Angel Tree-Each year at Christmas time, many of our staff and community members "adopt" students from our Angel tree. If you would like to help, you can email or call the school office.
