The Ethical Standards serve as a guide for the ethical practices of all school counselors.

Social Development
As the school counselor, I serve as the first line of defense in identifying and addressing student social/emotional needs within the school setting. The social/emotional domain is composed of standards to help students manage emotions and learn and apply interpersonal skills as early as preschool and kindergarten. I will implement programs to help students show growth in three areas: academics, career and social/emotional development.
